 Welcome to Tibetan Healing Massage
I really appreciate you considering this type of theurapeutic massage. In order to ensure I can get you the best possible results we will discus your health goals and I will develop a treatment plan and schudele to help you achieve those goals. It is my goal that you be able to enjoy your life more fully.
Guidelines for a Productive Treatment
1) No heavy meals or liquids for 1½ hours before treatment.
2) The treatment area should be quiet, no ringing phones, no interruptions.
3) Take a warm shower prior to treatment and please do not use any lotions or perfumes.
4) Remove jewelry. If you are not comfortable completely disrobing underwear is no problem. We will begin with you face down under the sheets.
5) Talk for the most part is distracting and unnecessary.
6) Taking slow deep breaths helps quiet the mind and make the subtle body more receptive to treatment.
7) Focus your attention on your breath and what is going on inside your body. This will quiet the inner dialogue.
8) Your mind will wander. When you notice this bring it gently back to the breath. Focus on the area right around the nostril and feel the physical sensation of your inhalation and exhalation. This is a type of meditation.
9) Allow yourself to receive. Do not help me move your arms or legs. Just relax.
10) If emotions surface do not be afraid to give them expression. Emotion can be stored in the musculature so treatment often releases them.
11) At the end of the treatment rather than leap up from the table rest a few minutes to let the experience soak in.
12) After the treatment drink plenty of water to flush the toxins. A steamroom, whirlpool or hot bath are also great follow-ups that help amplify the positive effect of the session.
Client Requirements
1) Sessions begin and end on time.
2) The client will complete an intake form prior to their first treatment and update it as needed.
3) Any abuse of drugs or alcohol is expressly prohibited. The session will not take place if the client is intoxicated.
4) Personal and professional boundaries will be respected at all times.
5) Payment is due at the conclusion of the session.
Services
During the session you will listen to tranquil relaxing Tibetan Healing Ritual music while resting on a traditional massage table. In many ways this will seem like a typical massage, however this treatment is primarily energetic. The physical massage, manipulation etc. happen as a means to open the energetic body from a physical level, and allow the tensions and toxins trapped in the tissues a way to exit the body.
The Healing Energy I work with comes from ritual Practice, Mantra recitation, and Mediation. First I will place my hands at different place on your body as I scan you body head to toe visualizing the channels and chakras while I transmit positive energy into your body. This will make places of stagnation and tension obvious to me. Next using massage cream blessed by many Mantra recitations I practice Tibetan Healing Massage using my thumbs and sometimes my elbows to remove your energy blockages in the subtle body/chakras.
The massage work is similar to deep tissue but combined with the Mantra recitation, and the Meditation I am doing while working it is completely difference. There is great power in Spiritual Mantras and the Buddha Medicine mantra I work with is especially potent.
There may be times when you notice I am blowing my breath onto you, usually at a pain point; this is a transfer of healing power used to remove the Negative Energy causing your pain
The Healing session will conclude with a dedication prayer for the well being of all beings in this world. I will make the dedication during a short silent meditation.
Healing Massages are by appointment and I ask that clients please make referrals as I do not advertise my services.
